I meant to reply, and then I thought I'd do a separate post, and then I got distracted entirely. I use generic rust-proof pins and GAC 400 textile stiffener by Golden. They're primarily an acrylic paint company. The stuff is wonderful. It stiffens very well while not gooping up the stitches. So sorry, Anne! Love your snowflake ornaments, and especially the use of all the different colours. I am in the process of making 16 snowflakes. I am doing one that you have done as I can tell by the pic, even though I haven't stiffened mine as yet. I have done them previously and use a diluted white glue as my stiffener. What do you use? And my other question is do you use toothpicks to hold them in place or pins? Previously I had used pins and they left a slight stain, so unsure if I should do that again. I hope you can help me with these questions as it's a lot of lovely hard work to do, as you would know, and want them to look beautiful like yours when completed! :) Hi there !
