After Hurricane Ike
Well, that was fun and interesting. I was very lucky. I suffered no property damage from the hurricane. (I live in Houston, for my legions of readers that don’t know.) My power was out for less than two days. But cable just came back this morning, over a week later. Man, have I missed TV and the internet. And man, do I feel guilty for saying that, since I got off so easy. I think the final word on Galveston and other coastal areas is going to be sad indeed.
I had been planning on finding one or two retail outlets in Galveston for the jewelry and/or the snowflake ornaments. I hadn’t gotten very far, and I suppose that’s a good thing now. Maybe I’ll look north, to Old Town Spring or somewhere.
I have put everything in the universe on the Flickr site, and now it’s boring, because everything is just crocheted lace, over and over again. The similarities outweigh the differences. Sigh. I have also started a new category of stuff on my Etsy site, Dollhouse Decor. Basically, these are various trials and experiments in crochet and dyeing. They might be good for a dollhouse, or as a component of some other decorative accessory. Any ideas?
