Huge, huge May news
Wow, the new developments keep piling on! I’m putting them in reverse chronological order.
May 15-16: Houston Highland Games out at the Houston Farm & Ranch Club by Bear Creek Park. This is a really fantastic festival for music, caber tossing, Highland flinging, and, of course, shopping! I’ll be near the main music stage, selling both my own fine wares (including some tartan scarves) as well as CDs and t-shirts for many of the bands, if not all of them! I’m going to have so much fun!
May 7-9: I’ll be at the CityArts Festival in Fair Park in Dallas. I am honored to be invited to this juried art festival! There is also music, dance and other performing arts, a culinary showcase with food and wine, and a children’s area. Oh, and it’s free to the public!
Now the biggie…
The entire month of May: I will have a crochet piece in TEXAS – A Blending of Cultures, the annual exhibit of the Texas Museum of Fiber Arts. That’s right, holy cow, I’m going to be an EXHIBITED ARTIST. I’m still wrapping my mind around this! The doily below, entitled Home, Hearth, Hospitality, will be on display at the exhibit, housed at the Mexican American Cultural Center, 600 River Street, Austin TX 78701. In addition, I will be at the Center the evening of May 1, not only for the Awards Gala, but in the arts market, with all the rest of my goodies. Please click on the photos to learn more about the doily.
